Redd Walitzki’s “Stranger than Earth” at Corey Helford Gallery.
Opening on Saturday, July 15th, at Corey Helford Gallery in Los Angeles, California is artist Redd Walitzki’s striking solo exhibition, “Stranger than Earth.”
Hints of the world we now know are sprinkled throughout the hauntingly gorgeous post-apocalyptic paintings of “Stranger than Earth” where humanity has come to terms with our self-destructive plight, having transformed tragedy into surreal comforts. Redd explains her work as “a requiem to an Earth transformed by climate change; there is no going back to the world we used to know, but perhaps we can create a new world full of alien beauty.”
